Scarring
Here at ReWork Skin Clinic our scar treatments are a fast, simple and effective option for scar removal. Using both fractional laser and IPL, we are able to break down scar tissue and trigger new tissue production. The technology boasts minimal downtime and can be used on any skin type, including very light and very dark skin.
Scarring is one of the UK’s most common aesthetic concerns, along with general signs of ageing, such as fine lines and wrinkles. People worldwide spend billions every year on skin care products that help reduce the effects of these conditions, however fractional laser and IPL is the quickest and most effective way to tackle these sensitive areas.

How it works
Minute sections of the skin are targeted with laser light, which penetrate into the tissue, causing small columns of thermal damage to stimulate significant collagen renewal. The surrounding non-affected areas of skin aid the body’s natural recovery process for dramatic results without a significant recovery period.
Our Lynton Laser is considered the gold standard in laser treatment of scarring due to its multi function feature. The dual technology enables us to treat scarring as well as treating any textural irregularities.
The laser delivers impulses of energy that target and heat scarring while preserving the surrounding skin. This thermal action stimulates the production of collagen and elastin by the body, which will then improve the texture and colour of the skin to remove scarring. Our Cryo-cooling system will cool the skin giving you the best comfort during treatment.
Frequently asked questions
Am I suitable for treatment?
Treatment is suitable for most people and highly recommended for individuals wanting a brighter, more even skin tone, smoother skin texture with improved skin elasticity, a reduction of wrinkles, reduced pore size and improvement to scars (including acne scars) and stretch marks.
How is the treatment carried out?
The skin is cleansed and the hand piece is moved over the skin delivering tiny microscopic laser beams. Typically treatment time varies depending upon the skin condition and the area being treated, but will range from 10 to 40 minutes. After treatment the skin is cooled. Protective eye wear must be worn during treatment.
