Physical injury or pain treatment
Using our top of the range Neurocryostimulation (NCS) device we can use a technique that is based on stimulation of the skin receptors caused by very cold temperature, pressure and vibration produced from a jet of carbon dioxide (Co2) microcrystals. This stimulation called thermal shock causes a physiological reaction of the neurovegetative system.
In laymen terms, we use the Co2 cryo system to thermal shock your system to send messages to your brain to trigger a reflex response, giving you pain relief, anti-inflammatory treatment and muscle contracture treatment.
We can offer treatments for a range of issues - this includes; diagnosed sprained ankles, Joint pain, swelling after minor surgery, tennis elbow, tendonitis, lower back pain, neck pain, cervical osteoarthritis and sciatica.
Pricing starts from £25, drop us a message to book in your consultation.
How it works
By using the very low temperatures, the NCS generates major physiological effects thanks to the thermal shock (Analgesic effect), which is a pain killer treatment. This reaction is obtained by inhibition of the pain sensors, and a strong decrease of the conduction of the nociceptive fibers practically stops pain from a range of injuries such as a sprained ankle or lower back pain. Anti-inflammatory effect: During the acute inflammatory outbreak, there is an important production of enzymes responsible for inflammation, namely collagenase, elastase and hyaluronidase. The application of NCS in the acute phase results in significant decrease in activity of these enzymes. Neurological effect: A relaxing action of the large muscle fibers appears under the action of the NCS.
